Expand that out to the 5x5 kallax the biggest one available and you can hold 1250 records. At this point the kallax shelving units are a classic and perhaps the most widely known option from ikea that are suitable for vinyl record storage. Overall a decent stylish frame for 8 but from the looks of the stock photos showing an lp taking up most of the area i assumed the record cover would fit good since it is slightly larger. You can fit around 50 60 records in each cube in a kallax which means a 2x2 model can hold 200 records.

I collect vinyl records and i use the ikea kallax as a vinyl record storage cabinet. They come in a variety of finishes including the clean and contemporary white pictured and each unit is perfectly sized for housing records. I like the way record stores display their records on top covers facing forward so you can quickly flip through the records and find what you are looking for. At 199 that s only 16 cents a record it can hold.

They are inexpensive look and work great but they have a limitation.
